GM Place, Canada Place and Gastown
It only takes 25 minutes to reach Downtown from North Vancouver, You will cross the North Shore surrounded by mountains and the Vancouver Skyline.
The SeaBus is a passenger only ferry that crosses the Burrard Inlet, connecting downtown Vancouver with the North Shore. Each ferry can seat up to 400 passengers at a time, and departs every 15 minutes during the day and every 30 minutes in the evening.

Victory Ceremony Tickets

BC Place (20- 25 minutes to downtown) which will host the Opening ( Feb.12) and Closing ceremonies ( Feb.28) as well as for all Olympic Victory Ceremonies that will be celebrated every evening from Feb 14-26.
Nightly Victory Ceremonies honour winning athletes each day. Olympic winners receive medals by the Olympic Flame.
A celebration concert follows, with music, national anthems and big name performers.
Thirty thousand tickets will be available for each Olympic Victory Ceremony. Twenty thousand Victory Ceremony tickets will cost $22. (prices are subject to change, Global Target is not responsible for this information).
Pre-Olympic games tickets

Prior to the 2010 Winter Games, Whistler and Vancouver sporting events will test Olympic venues, staff and operations. Canadian spectators can buy tickets for these competition and non-competition sporting events and preview the athletes, sports and Olympic facilities.
Tickets are free for some of these pre-Olympic events. Other sports events tickets cost $5 to $40 per game (prices are subject to change, Global Target is not responsible for this information).

Grouse Mountain (15-25 minutes from Capilano apartment) plans to run its lifts 24 hours per day during the Olympics.
Want to ski round the clock?
You can at Grouse Mountain during the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. The resort plans to run it skiing and mountain operations nonstop for 24 hours each day during the 17 days of the Olympics.
Special events include sunrise and midnight snowshoe tours, a marathon of winter action sports films at the Theatre in the Sky, and rides on the Air Grouse Mountain Zipline circuit. Other activities include ice skating, dining, contests, sleigh rides, and, of course, skiing and riding the slopes. |
